Dutch Living in America

Born and raised in a beautiful country called ''The Netherlands'', I fell in love with America at a very young age. Not knowing it was God's way of preparing my heart to marry an American and start a family in California.

Now married for almost 2 years, and pregnant with our first daughter, I wake up everyday in my ''American Dream'' and run into funny cultural differences as well as hard instances of not understanding social ques or missing family and Dutch cooking.

Writing is a passion and immortalizing thoughts and experiences, while maybe relating with other new mommies, girls who married ''Americans'' or just any 20 something year old is a hope I have for this blog -- Stay tuned for Dutch recipes, funny stories and life hacks!
